Jenni,
Good instructions to help cut the clutter。
Brooke Fay,
Shira is quite literally my spirit animal。 Her philosophy around minimalism and home organization is a game changer- less, but better things! For anyone who needs help creating efficient systems for your lifestyle as a whole, this book is for you!
Marcy,
It was ok- I'm not a fan of using storage bins。 If it's not easy to put away, then storage bins are a nightmare。 Especially if the bins stack。 And I can't imagine not putting up a Christmas tree。。。。。 It was ok- I'm not a fan of using storage bins。 If it's not easy to put away, then storage bins are a nightmare。 Especially if the bins stack。 And I can't imagine not putting up a Christmas tree。。。。。 。。。more
Cynthia Nicola,
3。5 stars。 I like reading these types of books because they help me not get cluttered down with things I am not using。 This one I bumped up to 3。5 stars instead of 3 because it is visually pleasing。
Ginger Hudock,
Beautiful photos to inspire your organization projects。
Rachel Burger,
I finished Minimalista this week and I loved it! This book is incredibly actionable and it has had a significant impact on our home。 It's as if the author has been to my house - yes, we had way too many water bottles, boxes of tea, and reusable bags。 No more! Over the last 2 weeks we've done some major editing - 2 trunkfuls for Goodwill (and counting)。 I've gotten my husband and kids involved which makes it more fun/impactful。 I only wish I had taken some before and after pictures。 My clean coun I finished Minimalista this week and I loved it! Elizabeth,
3。5 -4 stars: beautiful design/organizing book。 Lots of great tips。 She really encourages you to have just one or two great things a no d ket the rest go in a sustainable way。 She even gets into capsule wardrobe。 I found the book a little repetitive by the end。 Glad I read it though。
Rachelle,
Minimalista。。。 clever title and book design; coffee table book for sure。 This one will be good to reference for different areas of a house when you are ready to devote attention to editing, decluttering, donating and organizing。 Much of this book repeats information and strategies throughout, not much original wisdom。 Very basic and opinionated author。 Decent book if you've never read an organization/ guide to minimalism book before。 Minimalista。。。 clever title and book design; coffee table book for sure。 This one will be good to reference for different areas of a house when you are ready to devote attention to editing, decluttering, donating and organizing。 Much of this book repeats information and strategies throughout, not much original wisdom。 Very basic and opinionated author。 Decent book if you've never read an organization/ guide to minimalism book before。 。。。more
Pat,
I read this in one sitting, it's that good! I gotta rank minimalism books at some point in my life (I've read dozens and the ranking always changes) but this is the #1 book you should check out when you're starting out。 Other books prioritize the editing and the throwing out, and in this book Shira gives a 5-part plan that includes maintenance -- very realistic! This book also highlights sustainability measures such as composting, product swaps and reusing, which is WHAT。 WE。 NEED。 right now! Th I read this in one sitting, it's that good! Jen,
I couldn’t put this book down! Not only does it have checklists for each room in your home and a curated list of products, it has so much more。 I thought that I had already read everything about decluttering and organizing, but I was wrong。 I like Shira‘s environmental perspective that is woven throughout the book。 Make sure you read through each chapter, not just the checklists。 This book has so much to offer in each chapter, including simple steps, some tough love, and humor to encourage you t I couldn’t put this book down!
